More than a hundred people answered Français du Monde South Central USA’s call to gather in Austin and Dallas following the terrorist attacks in Paris.
You can see the pictures of Friday’s gathering at Café Crème in Austin and Saturday’s gathering in Dallas below.
Our Dallas group sent the drawings made that day in honor of the victims to Charlie Hebdo (you can also see them in the below slideshow).
And following a French living in Austin’s proposition to march behind the Je suis Charlie banner she had printed and a march of more than a million and a half persons in Paris that same day, our Austin group organized a march that gathered more than 150 people on Sunday.
The Austin American Statesman covered the march (read the story and see the pictures online), as well as Time Warner Cable News and KVUE, but those reports aren’t accessible anymore.
The Austin group wants to keep working on the issue and invites everyone interested in the topic to a Je suis Charlie: What now? meeting on Saturday from 5PM.
