Français du Monde South Central USA helped translate into French the lyrics of We are peace, a song composed by rabbi-cantor Robbi Sherwin (of Sababa) that she interpreted at the Austin Jewish community center during a ceremony organized yesterday, January the 22nd, during a ceremony honoring the victims of the Paris attacks that was held before an excellent conference by Dr. Qanta Ahmed, a British-Pakistanese female physician of Muslim confession who insisted in the Muslims’ role in fighting djihadist terrorism (that also impacts them more than any other group on Earth), but also explained the international impact of the Paris attacks by France’s special position in the world as a symbol of democracy and secularism.
Here’s the song!
